BGT finalist Tom Ball teams up with Gary Barlow as he looks to bag Christmas No. 1 in huge career move

Britain's Got Talent runner-up Tom Ball is preparing to shake up the charts in the run-up to Christmas with the release of his very own festive single.
Written by Take That frontman Gary Barlow and songwriter Elliot Kennedy, Ball has provided the vocals to new single, Winter Song.
As always in the race to bag the Christmas No. 1 spot, Ball faces stiff competition from the usual suspects such as Mariah Carey, The Pogues, and so on.
But it's a challenge Ball relishes as he told GB News: "There are some truly incredible Christmas songs that I adore.
"I am a brand new artist and have only been doing this for a year so I feel so privileged to be releasing music and recording my first album which will be released March 29, 2024.
"I hope by releasing Winter Song I can continue to live my dreams, to be considered in the iconic race for Christmas No.1 is totally incredible."

Delving into the inspiration behind the hit, Ball continued: "This song was written by the incredible Gary Barlow and Elliot Kennedy and is a song about the anticipation of the winter season from snow, family, and presents.
"It’s a song for the entire season of winter and perfectly fits what Christmas means for so many of us especially what it means for me.
"Christmas for me is all about spending time with the family, having incredible Christmas music playing, building the Christmas tree, eating delicious food, and the excitement Christmas brings no matter your age!"
As well as a Christmas song, Ball also has his debut album lined up for release in March next year - but could he be making another comeback to the Got Talent franchise after returning to BGT as animated cat Noodle earlier this year?
"It was a no-brainer for me to return to BGT," Ball said in response. "The first experience was phenomenal and created so many opportunities I always dreamt of including performing with Michael Ball at the London Palladium.
"Even now I will always go back to the show, the moment they (call) and ask, 'Tom would you like to come back for a performance?' I will be there in a heartbeat!"
Ball was full of praise for Simon Cowell and the rest of the BGT cast and crew as he credits the show for propelling him into global stardom - he even enjoyed a stint on America's Got Talent: All-Stars last year.
On what makes the show so popular, Ball mused: "I think the diversity of the acts on BGT is what people love.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"There’s so much talent in this country that we will always have the ability to showcase BGT and I’m proud to be one of the few acts to make it to the final and share my talent of singing.
"In my final alone there was such a variety of talent comedy, impressions, and dance groups.
"And of course Ant and Dec, they are British TV royalty and have kept the show fun and alive for years."
Winter Song is available to purchase or stream from Friday, December 8 here.
