Nikita Kuzmin will reportedly take part in a rival reality show

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin has sparked concerns about his future on the BBC series after “signing up to Celebrity Big Brother”.

The 26-year-old, who last year made it to the Strictly final alongside Layton Williams, has reportedly agreed to take part in the ITV reality show.

Kuzmin, who has starred in Strictly since he made his show debut in 2021, has quickly become a fan favourite.

The Ukrainian dancer has performed with three celebrity partners, including Tilly Ramsay, Ellie Simmonds and most recently, Williams.

His fame has sky-rocketed since he became a familiar face on the show, and now it’s thought he’ll be taking part in Celebrity Big Brother.

A TV insider reportedly stated: “This will send the rumour mill into overdrive, with some already suggesting he may not return to Strictly and is instead making the most of being a rising star.”

Speaking to The Sun, they continued: “He’ll have been selected by CBB producers as an obvious heartthrob who can spice things up in the house — and maybe even spill some secrets from behind the scenes of Strictly.”

GB News has contacted the BBC for comment.

Other names rumoured to be taking part in the series include former X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, as well as presenter Fern Britton and Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu.

Meanwhile, Big Brother fans have already complained over a new feature of this year’s show.

It came after bosses of the ITV reality show explained they had made a change the celebrity edition, which is set to air in a few days.

The line-up hasn’t been officially confirmed, but bosses have shared changes to the show's voting system.

During last year's series, which was the first of the reprisal on ITV2, fans had to vote to evict.

For this year's Celebrity Big Brother, however, fans will be voting to save their favourite contestant instead.

Another rumoured name for the series which has got fans talking includes the Princess of Wales' uncle.

Kate Middleton's relative, Gary Goldsmith, has reportedly signed up to take part in the huge reality show.

Insiders claim Kate's controversial uncle has negotiated a contract with the show’s bosses.
