The presenter often leaves her fans stunned with the work she does on guest's houses

BBC's Sort Your Life Out has sparked a wave of criticism from viewers following its latest episode, which featured a bedroom makeover for a Milton Keynes family with five children under nine.

The programme, presented by Ms Solomon, transformed the sleeping quarters for three of the Parej family's sons by installing built-in bright green sleeping pods.

When the crew arrived at the Parej household, they discovered the extent of the family's storage challenges, including office chairs and a washing machine occupying the hallway.

Expert Robert Bent noted the significant lack of storage space for a seven-person household navigating busy schedules whilst raising five young children.

Speaking on the renovation, Ms Solomon noted in the episode: "After a swift room swap, the boys' bedroom, which was also overstuffed with cubes, now hosts three full-size single bed pods and plenty of integrated storage."

She soon brought the boys up to their new room, leaving them jumping with excitement and rushing around the room to explore where they would be spending a lot more of their time.

However, audience members took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the design choices, with many questioning whether the renovation would serve the family's needs as the children mature.

The backlash centred on concerns that the distinctive pods resembled a children's play facility rather than a practical living space.

Critics on X were particularly vocal about the impracticality of the sleeping pod concept, as one wrote: “Not sure this is practical enough for when they eventually get older and move?”

Another commenter suggested the family would soon need larger accommodation, arguing the bedrooms were insufficient for five children.

Someone else suggested: “Will they not grow out of it within a matter of years?”

A third quipped: “Not sure my 20-year-old would be wanting to sleep in a pod? Such a weird thing to design for bedrooms." (sic)

"A pod? For a bed? Stacey, I love you but this is not it,” a fourth penned before another agreed: “Sometimes I do think she gets these wild ideas and just cannot execute them.”

Many others agreed that whilst the beds were fun and space-saving for the three boys when they were little, they would soon become impractical as the boys grew older.

Despite the online criticism, the Parej family themselves appeared delighted with the transformation, and seeing the bedroom for the first time, the parents were left gobsmacked and branded the room as "insane".

Ms Solomon added: "Rob really wanted to make this work so that the boys could grow up in these beds, and he was determined to get three full-sized singles in this space, along with actual storage and places to hang stuff.
