One guest's wardrobe choice sparked quite the debate among viewers on Saturday morning

Several Saturday Kitchen viewers found themselves unsure where to look during this morning's show as one guest chef's cooking demonstration unfolded.

Matt Tebbutt was joined by a host of familiar faces for the show, including actress Celia Imrie, cookbook author and chef Donal Skehan, cocktail expert Carmen O'Neal, and cook-turned-presenter Julie Lin.

On the menu was Tebbutt's goat's cheese choux pastry parcels, monkfish with a creamy peppercorn sauce, and Skehan's apricot tart, among other dishes.

But when it was Lin's turn to step into the kitchen and rustle up her scissor-cut noodles with pork Zha Jiang, a number of viewers found themselves distracted.

"We're going to make some delicious homemade noodles today," Lin said as she kicked off her demo, before instructing Tebbutt to steam the bok choy, and slice the spring onions and cucumbers.

As the demo rolled on, Lin explained why she was a fan of the "super easy" dish as she fried off some pork mince in a hot wok.

Tebbutt echoed Lin's fondness for the dish, revealing that in rehearsals, he particularly enjoyed finishing off the creation.

Lin and Imrie even shared a heartfelt moment as they bonded over their respective pride in their Scottish heritages.

The topic of Lin's ensemble didn't come up during the demonstration, with her Saturday Kitchen co-stars keeping the conversation centred on the cooking.

However, the same couldn't be said for BBC viewers at home. Moments after Lin started cooking, social media was flooded with complaints about the choice of attire.

On X, several who felt the wardrobe choice wasn't appropriate made their feelings known. "#SaturdayKitchen Why is one of the chefs wearing lingerie and half has her b**s out?" one user questioned.

Elsewhere, a second hit out: "I've just got up from bed, turned the tv on bbc1 and just seen a woman cooking in her lingerie. What is happening on day time telly ffs!!"

The complaints kept coming from a third who said: "Shameless Julie Lin who's cooking in her nightwear with her b***s on show just as she did on #SundayBrunch #SaturdayKitchen."

"I know it’s the done thing now to go out and about in nightwear but I’ve never seen anyone on #SaturdayKitchen in a nightie before," a fourth added.

"Lovely lady cooking there but why is she wearing a 1970's negligee? #Saturdaykitchen," a fifth questioned before another weiged inn: "Julie Lin cooking in her nightware @SaturdayKitchen."
