Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen, 51, has been inundated with condolences and support after sharing some heartbreaking family news.
On Wednesday morning, Ms Owen revealed the death of her family's cherished canine companion, Chalky.
The mother of nine shared the sad announcement on Instagram, posting a photograph of their dog accompanied by the simple message "Mourning #Chalky."
The Yorkshire Dales farmer, who gained prominence through Channel 5's docuseries, soon followed it up with a clip of Chalky on one of her final outings at Ravenseat.

| ITV"Chalky’s adventures continued even when her mobility was limited," Ms Owen penned in the accompanying caption. "She never paused."
Ms Owen went on: "Always the traveller and known affectionately as Chalky Trailarse, she just came along with us, whatever task we were undertaking." (sic)
Prior to the announcement, Ms Owen had shared footage explaining her pet's deteriorating health.
In the video, she disclosed that Chalky was experiencing significant physical decline, describing the dog as "fading" after living a fulfilling life.

The shepherdess detailed how Chalky had become extremely frail and exhausted, frequently losing her balance.
Despite these mobility challenges, Ms Owen emphasised that the animal wasn't experiencing any discomfort.
She explained her decision to keep Chalky close at all times, ensuring the dog wouldn't "conclude her life by falling over somewhere silly."
The Yorkshire Shepherdess had previously described how Chalky maintained her adventurous spirit throughout her life. She explained that the dog had earned the affectionate nickname "Chalky Traila**e" due to her constant travelling nature.
Supporters quickly responded to Ms Owen's announcement with an outpouring of sympathy and support.
Reacting to the initial announcement that she and her family were in "mourning", one Instagram user typed: "So sorry... what a fabulous life she had with you all xx."
"I’m sorry to hear Chalky died," a second echoed. "What a family she had to be young and grow older with, you could see she was truly loved, sending you all big hugs."
"Sorry for your loss Amanda, Clive and family," a third weighed in, while a fourth also said: "Aww sending much love. Chalky had a fabulous life with you all. Used to love watching her adventures."

And after Ms Owen posted one of the last videos of Chalky, condolences and heartbroken messages continued to flood in.
"How lovely that she will conclude her happy life in the presence of those who love her," one typed, before a second commented: "Aww rest in peace Chalky. She was gorgeous and full of character, always wandering off miles away from home bless her xx." (sic)
