Winds slowly easing in the wake of Storm Eunice. Rain and snow clearing the north and east but wintry showers continuing in the with a few icy stretches.

Saturday

Further rain moving eastwards across the UK, with a little snow over Northern Ireland, north Wales and northern England-mainly for high ground. Turning windy again in south.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday

Unsettled with further spells of rain and brighter, showery interludes in-between. Showers frequent and heavy in the north and west on Monday, wintry on hills. Windy, gales possible at times.
