The Met Office has issued weather warnings for England and Wales, with dangerous ice and torrential rain imminent.
A “danger to life” alert has also been raised in Wales, with meteorologists stressing the dangers of flooding.
On Saturday night and through Sunday, England will be blasted by torrid weather with the Met Office warning freezing temperatures could create “hazardous conditions”.
Regions affected include the East Midlands, North East England, North West England, West Midlands, and Yorkshire & Humber.

As temperatures plunge following heavy rain, treacherous ice is expected to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Weather experts have advised people to remain vigilant to avoid injuries.
The icy conditions are expected to blow in over Saturday night and grip England until Monday, December 1.

Up to 30mm of rain is likely to be dumped widely across the area, with higher grounds expecting as much as 60mm.
Strong southwesterly winds are also set to accompany the rain, with the Met Office predicting possible gales around coasts.
The meteorologists warn this could result in flooding of some homes and businesses and major travel delays.
Interruptions to power supplies and other services are also likely.

Wales is expected to face even worse weather, with an amber “danger to life” warning issued across the nation on Monday.
Torrential rain is expected to batter every region, with the deluge bringing 20-40mm of precipitation all over Wales.
In high ground in South Wales, as much as 100 to 120mm of rain has been predicted.
The Met Office has warned that fast fast-flowing floodwater could pose a risk to life.
They have also stressed that homes and businesses could be damaged by the severe flooding.
Some communities may also be cut off by the rapidly rising waters, leaving roads blocked. As in England, major travel delays and power cuts are to be expected.
Weather experts advise that people in Wales should prepare a flood kit, which should include: “Insurance and any other important documents; a torch & spare batteries; a first aid kit, prescription medicines and supplies for looking after your family members or pets; and, warm, waterproof clothes, blankets, food and water.”
