Blustery showers in northern and northwestern areas will slowly ease to be replaced by thickening cloud through the afternoon with rain into the northwest by evening. Winds slowly easing. Further south, mainly dry with sunny spells. Feeling fresher everywhere.

Tonight:

Mostly cloudy in the north and west with occasional rain on upslopes of northwestern parts, this becoming heavier at times over western Scotland. Clear spells elsewhere. Windy in the north.

Thursday:

Cloudy in the west and north with occasional rain or drizzle on upslopes, this persistent at times across western Scotland. Dry and fine elsewhere. Windy in the north. Very mild.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Windy on Friday in the north, with rain in the far northwest sinking south through Saturday. Becoming mostly dry later in the weekend but turning much colder from the north.
