Temperatures are forecast to drop below zero in parts of the UK while hail, rain and high winds are expected to lash down.
This weekend looks set to turn chilly with a mix of sunny spells and blustery showers.
The Met Office predicts that temperatures will likely dip down to single figures across the country - and sub zero for Scotland - with lows of 6C or 7C in the south tomorrow.

Met Office Meteorologist Ellie Glaisyer said cold and wet conditions seen over recent days will continue into the weekend.
"Those shower conditions that we've seen overnight will continue through much of today, pushing in from the west so those heavier showers always confined to the western coast and southern coasts as well," she said.
In the south people could see some heavy downpours "and perhaps hear the odd rumble of thunder through this afternoon".
She added: "Parts of Scotland, northern England and southeast England always staying the driest with plenty of sunny spells here through this afternoon, but perhaps not feeling too warm in that sunshine with blustery winds."

Glaisyer expects there to be a "chilly start to the weekend" before heavy downpours hit Britain.
"Low pressure is waiting in the wings to bring further wet and windy weather through the second half of the weekend," she said.
Yesterday a weather warning was issued for strong winds with the possibility of of 80mph gales.
Forecasters feared the wind would delay flights and ferries to and from mainland Scotland.

It comes as forecasters suggest the Lake District and parts of Scotland will be struck by snow tonight and into Friday morning.
It is set to fall at a rate of about 5cm per hour, with 2cm setting into the ground.
NetWeather has predicted more snow and rain into next week.
