Capturing the terrifying moment in a livestream, aviation watchers saw the plane struggling to reach the tarmac at Gatwick Airport as it carried passengers from Faro, Portugal.
Pushing through the extreme weather conditions, rain poured down as the plane struggled to keep straight while fast approaching the runway.
The jet swerves aggressively to the left and right as the pilot desperately attempts to land, prompting a plane spotter into action with a cry for the aircraft to "go around".

The craft, which was due to land at Gatwick Airport this afternoon, fails just a few metres before the runway which results in a dramatic upwards swerve.
Flight number EZY52FR U28530 circled back around in the storm and eventually made a safe landing at the airport, much to the relief of its passengers.

Storm Nelson has sparked widespread travel concerns across the UK ahead of the Easter weekend, and the Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings for wind and rain over the next few days.
Devon has also been struck with snow as the south-west of the country is faced with more extreme weather conditions.
The Met Office has urged Britons to take care when travelling this Easter Bank Holiday weekend and warned of a possible "danger to life" caused by the storm.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "There is a small chance that injuries and danger to life could occur from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties."
"Strong winds and large coastal waves may lead to hazardous conditions."
Travel organisation ABTA has said airports are expecting "strong numbers" over the coming days with millions set to be jet off.
Following today's incident at Gatwick Airport, flights appear widely unaffected with only a handful of delays as it stands.
EasyJet's 1.55pm flight EZY8845 to Reykjavik has been delayed to 4.15pm, and an EasyJet flight EZY8757 scheduled to depart at 3.10pm for Sofia has been delayed to 3.35pm.
