Storm Ingunn has battered the Faroe Islands, with winds speeds reaching an incredible 155mph.
A yellow warning for wind has been issued for the UK as the gusts were recorded by a Landsverk weather station in the Faroe Islands.
Storm Ingunn was named by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute that struck northern Scotland.
The weather system brought gusts of 106mph to the Aonach Mor mountain in Scotland earlier today.

Earlier today, more than 40 train services were cancelled in Scotland over safety concerns, while ferry operator Calmac axed all departures on five of its routes.
Edinburgh Castle, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Zoo and Craigmillar Castle were all closed for tourists.
Meanwhile in the Western Isles, schools and nurseries were shut because of the conditions.
Across the sea in Norway, residents battened down as authorities warned the country could see its most powerful storm in three decades and urged people to stay indoors.

Forecasters warned of "injuries and danger to life" from "flying debris" and "large waves and beach material being thrown onto seafronts, coastal roads and properties."
The latest forecast from the Met Office said: "A weakening band of wet and windy weather will move southeast across England and Wales, followed by clearer skies later.
"Clear spells and blustery showers affecting Scotland and Northern Ireland. A patchy frost, with some ice [is] possible in the north."
Speed restrictions were put in place across much of the ScotRail network and safety inspections are set to continue on sections of the track throughout the day and into this evening.
No ferries will sail from Oban to Colonsay, or from Mallaig to Armadale, while there are warnings other scheduled departures from Ardrossan and Ullapool may be cancelled at short notice too.
Looking towards the rest of the week, the weather is expected to settle with calmer conditions. However, there is still a forecast of rain.
The Met Office forecast said: "After a chilly start, [Thursday will be] a mostly dry day with gentle winds and some sunshine. However, some showers in the north, giving way to some wet and windy weather here later.
"It will turn colder in the north this weekend, with some hill snow, otherwise mild."
