The UK is at risk of being lashed by a freezing 800-mile snow wall as temperatures plummet to as low as -4C.
Various weather charts and maps have suggested Britons will witness a wintery change over the coming weeks.
Long-range forecasts from the Met Office have highlighted there is an "increased chance of wintry weather" early next month.
However, other experts suggest wintery weather could reach the UK by February 12.

NetWeather’s snow risk map showed much of Scotland, England and Wales could witness snow.
Mercury will also fall to as low as -4C on February 14.
Scotland will face the brunt of the chillier temperatures, WXCharts has warned.
Snow will likely fall alongside rain which will not cause any significant accumulations.
The Met Office’s longer range forecast said: “Following on from earlier in the month, either the period will start changeable with temperatures overall around average and a northwest to southeast split in conditions, or colder conditions will have become established, mainly across the north.

“Either way, through mid-February there is an increasing likelihood of more settled conditions with winds arriving from the north.
“This would increase the chance of some colder spells, with a greater likelihood of wintry conditions at times, particularly in the north and east.”
However, Britons face strong winds ahead of plummeting temperatures.
The Met Office has issued two yellow wind warnings across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.
The warnings, which are in place until 7pm tonight, could bring gusts of up to 85 miles per hour.

There is a chance it could damage buildings, cause power cuts, bring a small chance of danger to life through large waves, bring a small chance of danger to life through flying debris, delay travel times and close roads.
The Met Office’s wider forecast added: “Strong and gusty winds across the north of the UK today, with severe gales across northern Scotland.
“Heavy rain slowly moving southwards through the day, though some southern parts of England and Wales staying dry and bright until after dark.”
England is also facing 55 flood warnings and alerts.
A further 13 flood warnings and alerts have been issued in Scotland.
