Wizz Air launches subscription service giving customers 'hundreds of spontaneous travel options' flights for less than £500

The budget airline's new scheme will come into force in September
Budget airline Wizz Air has launched an “All You Can Fly” subscription offering customers unlimited flights for less than £428.
The initiative is among the first of its kind to offer unlimited packages, with similar schemes offered by Frontier Airlines in the United States.
It will allow a limited number of subscribers to travel to destinations across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Flights can be booked at least three days in advance for a flat fee of approximately £8.56, with the airline selling 10,000 subscriptions distributed across airports.

The 72-hour booking window means not all flyers will be guaranteed a seat, however. The Wizz website indicates that several "airport of preference options" are shown as already being sold out, the BBC has reported.
A message on the website read: “In the case that you are unable to select your preferred airport, please note that the limit has been reached and Wizz Air is unfortunately unable to offer you a Wizz All You Can Fly membership at this time.”
Furthermore, the EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) is being implemented this autumn requires passengers to submit information 48 hours before departure, with the risk of being slapped with a fine.
This throws into question the suitability of the scheme for travellers will have to plan ahead.
The terms and conditions document on Wizz Air’s website also caution that seat availability is not guaranteed to subscribers and will depend on several external and internal factors.
It states: “Your flights do not include carry-on or checked baggage, only one personal item. All You Can Fly bookings will be available from September 2024."
Baggage and seat selection can vary in price from a few pounds to more than a hundred depending on various factors.
It continued: “Once you have successfully paid for All You Can Fly, you can start booking your flights right away.
“Keep in mind that Wizz Air has a special introductory period where customers can purchase the membership on an introductory fee, and the booking process begins in September.
"You can use the All You Can Fly membership to book flights at any time of the year, you just have to respect the booking restrictions."
