Blackpool has been crowned the UK's most entertaining summer getaway in a new study, making it the perfect staycation spot. The Lancashire seaside resort topped the rankings after being analysed alongside 25 other coastal towns across the country.
The research evaluated destinations based on key entertainment factors, including amusement parks, live music venues, bars, restaurants, landmarks, beaches, and escape rooms.
Blackpool emerged as the clear winner, offering more amusement parks and casinos than any other location in the study by SuomiCasino. Brighton secured second place in the entertainment stakes, while Southport completed the top three.
The study highlights how UK seaside towns offer far more than just traditional fish and chips and sea views, with many providing a wealth of entertainment options for summer staycationers.

Blackpool's impressive entertainment credentials include 12 water and amusement parks, with the infamous Blackpool Pleasure Beach being a major draw for thrill-seekers.
Visitors can explore 67 landmarks, including the iconic Blackpool Tower, its famous ballroom, and several lively piers.
With 520 bars and restaurants, there's no shortage of places to eat, drink, and unwind after a day of seaside fun. The town also features 30 live music venues, four beaches, and five escape rooms, cementing its status as a true all-rounder for entertainment.

Brighton secured second place with its impressive offering of 909 bars and restaurants, the highest number in the study. The south coast city features 58 live music venues and 19 escape rooms, making it a haven for entertainment lovers.
Brighton's four beaches provide ample space for relaxation alongside its vibrant entertainment scene. Southport rounds out the top three with 15 beaches and 52 landmarks, including the historic Southport Pier and scenic King's Gardens.
