Luxury cruise line Silversea has just rolled out a brand new fare system that gives passengers more ways to customise their trips. The changes, which are live now, introduce three different fare options while keeping all the onboard perks that make Silversea special.
It's a big shift for the company, which has built its reputation on providing one of the most generous all-inclusive packages at sea. Now, holidaymakers can pick how they want to book their cruise, with options for adding flights, hotels, transfers and shore trips based on what works for them.
President of Silversea, Bert Hernandez, said: "The Luxury of Choice reflects our deep commitment to delivering on the feedback of our guests. Our guests consistently tell us that they value flexibility in their travels.
"With our new fare options, we’re empowering them to personalise every aspect of their journey - from start to finish - while continuing to enjoy our signature all-inclusive onboard experience, which is one of the most comprehensive at sea.”
All-Inclusive Plus Fare
The top-tier option is the All-Inclusive Plus Fare, which comes with the most perks and best value for money. Passengers who book this fare get a refundable deposit and protection through Silversea's Fare Guarantee Program.
Cruisegoers have more options when booking their next cruise holiday

On ocean cruises, this fare includes shore excursion credits that vary based on the length of the trip and where it is going. The credits can be used for different types of experiences the cruise line offers.
For expedition cruises, it's even better - shore excursions come included as standard, along with Zodiac boat tours, expert talks, flights within the destination country, and hotel nights before or after the cruise when the destination requires it. It's the most comprehensive package Silversea offers.
All-Inclusive Fare
The middle option is the All-Inclusive Fare, which is only available on ocean voyages. With this choice, passengers can pick and choose their shore excursions, buying them either before they sail or once they're on the ship.
This fare requires a non-refundable deposit, so holidaymakers need to be sure about their plans when they book.
Last-Minute Fare
For those who love a good deal and can book closer to departure, there's the Last-Minute Fare. This option is available on certain ocean and expedition trips within five months of sailing.
The catch? You'll need to pay a non-refundable deposit and the full amount when you book. But the savings can be worth it for those who are flexible.
All three fares let passengers add flights, hotels before and after the cruise, transfers, shore trips and land experiences through Silversea. Silversea has completely revamped its shore excursion offerings, too.
