Cruisegoers who book early will enjoy discounts on selected excursions

Princess Cruises has unveiled 13 brand new shore excursions across the Mexican Riviera, and they're offering travellers a brilliant deal to celebrate. Starting today through September 16, you can save up to 20 per cent on selected tours for Mexico voyages running through April 2026.

The cruise line, which first started sailing to Mexico back in 1965 on the Princess Patricia, has added fresh experiences across five beloved destinations: Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Manzanillo, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta.

These new adventures cover everything from food and drink to wildlife encounters, cultural discoveries and outdoor thrills.

With 31 departures planned for the 2025/2026 season, these new experiences will be available on the Emerald Princess, Royal Princess, and Ruby Princess. Ships depart from Los Angeles and San Francisco for trips lasting between seven and 14 nights.

Princess Cruises Vice President of Onboard Revenue, Alfredo Jimenez, said: "Mexico remains one of our most beloved destinations, and we're continually enhancing our shore excursion offerings to help guests connect more deeply with its vibrant culture.

"These 13 new experiences invite guests to savour authentic cuisine, discover local artistry, explore breathtaking natural landscapes, and immerse themselves in the rich history that makes Mexico truly unique."

One of the standout offerings is the Todos Santos Wine Experience in Cabo San Lucas, available exclusively to Princess guests through January 2026. Wine lovers can explore Viñedo Las Tinajas, the area's first winery, with an expert winemaker guiding them through the vineyard and production facilities.

The experience includes tastings of white, rosé and red wines paired with artisanal bruschetta, plus a charming stroll through downtown Todos Santos.

In La Paz, guests can join local fishing families to learn about harvesting callo de hacha, a rare scallop found only in the Sea of Cortez. After snorkelling for scallops or simply enjoying the crystal-clear waters, participants head to El Mogote beach for fresh ceviche under shaded tents.

Manzanillo offers a tropical fruit plantation tour with a visit to Barra de Navidad, where guests explore banana farms and enjoy boat rides to the Resort at Isla Navidad.

In Mazatlán, the new Shekinah Beach Club experience lets visitors relax by infinity pools or try the adults-only facilities, while adventure seekers can go horseback riding along Cerritos Beach.

There's also a piñata-making workshop where families can craft their own festive creations while learning about this beloved Mexican tradition.
