The expansion comes as travellers increasingly seek to witness the aurora borealis and explore Iceland's volcanic landscapes during the optimal winter viewing season.

This represents a six per cent capacity increase compared to Winter 24/25, with flights available from Belfast International, Bristol, Birmingham, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle International.
The programme covers key holiday periods including October half-term, February half-term, Easter holidays, and the pre-Christmas period, with flight timings optimised for Northern Lights viewing opportunities.
Package options through Jet2CityBreaks start from a £60 per person deposit and include guided Northern Lights tours, flights, 22kg hold luggage, airport transfers and accommodation at three and four-star hotels in central Reykjavik.
The expansion responds to what the company describes as "continued demand from holidaymakers booking flights and holidays to this bucket list destination".
CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Steve Heapy said: "Iceland is a destination that is rapidly growing in popularity thanks to its many natural and unique wonders, from the Northern Lights to natural parks and geothermal spas.
"These additional flights from London Stansted Airport come in direct response to the demand we have seen from customers since launching our Winter 25/26 programme. "The beauty of Iceland, coupled with the fantastic benefits available through Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks, means we are confident of a very successful programme."
The announcement coincides with Jet2.com's launch of a major summer 2025 sale, offering more than 20,000 one-way seats for just £29 on June and July departures.
