Delta Air Lines has refreshed its summer 2025 menu, introducing international dishes, expanded wine selections and the return of popular snacks across its cabins.
The American carrier's culinary overhaul includes Sicilian-inspired cuisine on its new New York-JFK to Catania route, an expanded partnership with luxury champagne brand Taittinger, and dishes from James Beard award-winning chef Mashama Bailey on additional routes.
Britons are most likely to experience the new menu on flights to various US destinations from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Edinburgh. Speaking on the new items, managing director of onboard culinary experience, Stephanie Laster, said: "Summer is a season of adventure and relaxation for many of our customers. It's a time when indulgence takes centre stage, which we actively work to extend to the food, meals and beverages that enhance the journey."
The airline's new Sicily route features exclusive dishes, including spinach and ricotta rotolo with cherry tomato sauce and fried basil leaves in Delta One. July offerings include handmade artichoke ravioli with panna sauce, roasted cherry tomatoes and Parmesan.

Chef Mashama Bailey's shrimp and grits with spicy creole sauce and scallions, previously exclusive to Atlanta flights, has expanded to additional international and domestic routes following positive customer feedback.
Delta's wine programme, which refreshes quarterly, now features Taittinger champagne in Delta One on international flights. The airline has also partnered with women-owned wine brand Une Femme, introducing their first still wine cans in Delta Comfort and Delta Main.
Shake Shack burgers are now available in 13 markets after expanding to seven new cities in June and Detroit in early July. Delta First passengers on routes exceeding 900 miles can enjoy the cheeseburger complete with Angus beef, potato bun, ShackSauce and customisable toppings.
The meal includes crinkle-cut potato chips and a dark chocolate brownie with cocoa nibs and sea salt, inspired by Shake Shack's Shack Attack Concrete.
Delta has also partnered with Farmer's Fridge to offer healthy meal options, now standard on flights over 1,500 miles departing Los Angeles.
Options include berries and granola Greek yoghurt, pesto pasta bowls and smoked turkey sandwiches. Delta Comfort passengers can now select meals in advance on international transoceanic and long-haul Hawaii flights, a service previously exclusive to premium cabins.
The option became available in May 2025, with passengers choosing between chipotle chicken or mushroom mezzaluna. Customers can make selections seven days before departure via email or the Fly Delta app, with a 24-hour cut-off before flight time.
The beloved Cheez-It baked snack crackers have returned to Delta's snack lineup alongside Garden Salsa SunChips in Delta Main. Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson praised the wine selection, noting: "Delta does a great job bringing that ethos onboard with their wine programme, highlighting both classic regions as well as up-and-comers."
