British wine has grown in popularity over the last decade, with more than 1,000 vineyards recorded in the UK as of 2024, compared to just hundreds 20 years ago.
With many open for visits and wine-tastings, it is a great option for a UK holiday, and experts have found England's trending wineries to visit this year.
Searches for "wine tasting experiences" are up 177 per cent, according to travel experts at Journeyscape, and a West Sussex winery has had the biggest spike in searches over the past year.
The travel pros said: "With its award-winning sparkling wines and elegant English Chardonnay, Sugrue tops the charts this year. Much of the UK's wine is produced in Sussex, Kent and Hampshire, so it is no surprise to see these locations feature prominently on the list. However, it is a Worcestershire location which has seen the second-highest jump in interest.

The best time to visit a UK vineyard is typically between May and October, so eager Britons don't need to wait long for their next trip. During the summer months, holidaymakers can enjoy terrace tastings, relaxed vineyard walks and stunning sunsets.
Harvest is typically between September and October, when vines are full of grapes, and Britons can witness the picking or pressing process.
