Much of the UK's wine is produced in Sussex, Kent and Hampshire, so it is no surprise to see these locations feature prominently on the list. However, it is a Worcestershire location which has seen the second-highest jump in interest.
Travel experts said: "Wythall Estate Vineyard has seen a 129 per cent increase. Famous for crisp whites and delicate sparkling wines, Wythall Estate invites visitors to take in sweeping countryside views, explore the vines on a guided walk, or get hands-on at a wine blending workshop. It is ideal for a weekend away with friends or a romantic retreat."
Rounding out the top three is Meopham Valley Vineyard in Kent, which saw online searches soar by 126 per cent year-on-year.

Stroll between the vineyard rows, sample flights in the rustic tasting room, and enjoy picnics or intimate seasonal events in this scenic corner of Kent."
The best time to visit a UK vineyard is typically between May and October, so eager Britons don't need to wait long for their next trip. During the summer months, holidaymakers can enjoy terrace tastings, relaxed vineyard walks and stunning sunsets.
Harvest is typically between September and October, when vines are full of grapes, and Britons can witness the picking or pressing process.
