Britons looking for new culinary experiences this summer should visit part of Spain for a "world-class food experience not to miss out on".
This is according to travel expert at Skyluxtavel, Alonso Marly, who spoke exclusively to GB News about why it is worth adding San Sebastián to your travel list.
He said: "While some travellers look for sightseeing trips and adventure tours, others prefer a more delicious experience to indulge in while going abroad."
The expert recommended holiday spots like South America and Tokyo as great for foodies to visit. However, he said those looking in Europe could find the best cuisine in the Spanish city.
San Sebastian has a mix of different cuisines to try
GETTYAlonso said: "Located in Spain’s Basque Country, San Sebastián is a must-visit European culinary gem renowned for both high-end gastronomy and its down-to-earth pintxos culture.
"Despite its small size, the city also has an impressive concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Arzak and Mugaritz, which combine an avant-garde approach with local Basque ingredients."
Holidaymakers have access to renowned restaurants, but the expert shared the great food is not exclusive to the fancy restaurants.
Just by walking around and stopping by different bars and restaurants, Britons are sure to find something unique and delicious.
Alonso continued: "The true magic is found in its casual bars, where locals and tourists alike spend evenings wandering from spot to spot and sampling small bites like grilled octopus, jamón ibérico croquettes, and anchovies on toast."
If looking for recommendations, the city's proximity to the Cantabrian Sea means there are lots of fresh fish dishes available.
The expert added: "The city’s seaside location means the seafood is exceptionally fresh, often featured in simple yet sophisticated dishes even the most spoiled travellers can appreciate.
"With its scenic beaches, rich culinary heritage, and lively food scene, San Sebastián offers an accessible world-class food experience not to miss out on."

If Spain doesn't take your fancy this year, new research found Paris could be a great alternative for a culinary holiday.
The research used multiple metrics, including the number of five-star restaurants, Michelin Guide establishments and gastronomic tourist attractions to find the top 10 cities to visit.
The French capital - which is just one hour by plane from London - outperformed all other destinations in the rankings.
It found Paris has an average meal cost of £58.85 for two people. While this was not the cheapest, the city of lights took the top spot based on its world-famous attractions and top-rated dining establishments.
