A lovely spot in Cornwall was found to be the best beach to visit for a day trip this spring and summer.
Cornwall dominated the list as Kynance Cove took the top spot. Other Cornwall locations on the list included Fistral Beach, Summerleaze and Watergate Bay.
This is according to research by StoryBoards who analysed Instagram hashtag data and the length of 50 popular UK beaches to find which had the most hashtags per metre.

One said: "A really enjoyable walk with good coastal views. Varied path which goes up and down but is never too steep for too long."
Another commented: "Beautiful, like nothing I’ve seen before - you won’t believe you are in the UK."
A third added: "One of the most stunning views in Cornwall. It's a fairly strenuous walk down to the water's edge, which involves scrambling over loose rocks along the shoreline (and judging high tide), but well worth it."
One more agreed with the research, simply stating: "It is possibly the most beautiful beach in the UK."
