If you're looking for an affordable Android handset with a generous 6.6" AMOLED display, two-day battery life, and support for speedy 5G mobile internet, look no further than the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite.
Priced at £299 when it launched last year, Amazon has slashed the handset to just £169 in the latest Prime Day sale. That's an impressive £130 saving. It's also £30 cheaper than you'll find in the latest sale from OnePlus itself.
Until now, the lowest price this OnePlus-built handset has reached on Amazon was £179.

Nord is a standalone series created by OnePlus for those who don't want to pay flagship prices for the latest-and-greatest smartphone

If you missed the announcement of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G, here's everything you need to know.
OnePlus' Nord series is designed to be an affordable alternative to its flagship smartphones. While it's since been superseded by the OnePlus Nord CE 5, this handset still packs a punch.
Available in two colours: Mega Blue or Super Silver. Both are included in the latest sale.
This mid-range handset ships in a single configuration, with 256GB of built-in storage. However, that can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD if you need more space to keep your photos, videos, and Android apps.
On the front of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G, you'll find a generous 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh-rate to enable fluid system animations, like buttery-smooth scrolling.
OnePlus has equipped its mid-range Android handset with a beefy 5,100mAh battery cell that should keep everything ticking along for 48-hours between charges

With a maximum brightness of 2,100-nits, that touchscreen is designed to be easily visible — even in direct sunlight. The designers at OnePlus have extended the AMOLED panel to the very edge of the chassis to squeeze as much screen real estate into the handset without dramatically increasingly the overall footprint.
Powering that expansive, bright display is a 5,110mAh battery cell. According to OnePlus' tests, that should be enough to ensure 48-hours of usage between charges. When it's time to recharge, the Nord CE 4 Lite 5G is fitted with 80W SUPERVOOC charging that can refill over 50% of that expansive lithium-ion battery cell in just 15-minutes.
US manufacturer Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 5G system-on-a-chip is the brains behind the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G, coupled with 8GB of RAM.
Despite sporting only a dual-camera system, OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G can shoot high-resolution stills, 2x zoom, and Portrait Mode-style photographs with a bokeh-style blur

OnePlus has fitted a dual-camera system that relies on a 50MP main camera from Sony and a 2MP depth-sensor to enable Portrait Mode-style photographs. Thanks to the large sensor size, OnePlus allows 2x zoom from its camera system — handy if you want a closer shot at a concert.
OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G runs on OxygenOS 14, which is built atop Android 14. The handset is guaranteed to be "smooth and safe for longer" with two major Android updates and three years of security updates, OnePlus pledges.
At launch, critics highlighted the two‑day battery life and bright, smooth display at the standout features on the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G. However, some were less impressed with the modest performance of the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which might lack enough oomph for those who want to play the most graphically-challenging mobile games.
The lack of a multi‑camera setup with ultra-wide and macro photography also caused some grumbles from critics, while others praised the overall value of the handset that seemingly prioritised basic daily use over gaming performance or advanced photography features.
