Amazon unmasks its most expensive Kindle EVER! New colourful Kindle Scribe will cost £570 in the UK

So what's new about these specific models?

For starters, the newest standout model, Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, marks Amazon's inaugural venture into colour e-ink technology for their writing-focused devices. This isn't the first colour e-reader Amazon has ever released. They recently launched two new Kindle Colorsoft e-readers, the Kindle Colorsoft and Colorsoft Kids.

Amazon achieves this through their custom-built Colorsoft display system. This employs a colour filter combined with a light guide featuring nitride LEDs, creating gentle hues that won't strain your eyes like traditional LCD screens.

If you're hoping to purchase these devices, you'll need to wait just a little bit longer. While the US will gain access to these new models during the latter part of 2025, the UK will need to wait until early 2026.

However, US shoppers won't be able to shop the new standard Scribe without the front light until 2026 as well.
