Wimbledon has announced its first price increase for strawberries and cream in 15 years.
The iconic treat's price will be rising from £2.50 - a price that had been frozen since 2010 - to £2.70 for the 2025 tournament.
The 20p increase represents an eight per cent rise in cost for the traditional delicacy that has become synonymous with the Championships.
The All England Club confirmed the price adjustment ahead of this year's tournament, which is scheduled to begin on 30 June.

The decision breaks a remarkable price freeze that had been maintained since 2010, during which time the cost of the sweet treat remained unchanged despite broader inflationary pressures affecting the UK economy.
The price adjustment will generate an additional £28,000 annually for the club, based on sales of approximately 140,000 punnets each year.
An All England Club spokesperson commented: "We have taken the decision to slightly increase the price of strawberries this year from £2.50 to £2.70.

"We feel this modest increase still ensures that our world-famous strawberries are available at a very reasonable price.
"The tournament's operational costs have continued to rise annually, with the price increase reflecting wider economic pressures.
Even with the adjustment, the strawberries remain one of the most affordable food options available at the venue.

The £2.50 price point had remained static since 2010, a period during which average UK grocery costs have risen by approximately 40 per cent.
The strawberries and cream, a tradition at Wimbledon since the tournament's inception in 1877, remain exceptional value compared to other food offerings at the venue.
At £2.70, the snack continues to be the most affordable food option available on site.
The All England Club's pricing strategy demonstrates restraint in an era of significant cost increases across sporting venues, with the modest adjustment reflecting the tournament's commitment to maintaining accessibility for spectators.

The tournament maintains its tradition of allowing spectators to bring their own food and drink, including alcohol, offering budget-conscious fans an alternative to venue prices.
Those who opt to purchase on-site strawberries benefit from the exceptional freshness, with berries picked each morning and delivered from Hugh Lowe Farm in Kent.
The family-run farm has supplied Wimbledon with its strawberries for years, ensuring the fruit arrives at peak freshness on the day of consumption.
This commitment to quality distinguishes the official strawberries from any alternatives fans might bring themselves, justifying the premium despite the price increase.
