Novak Djokovic has reacted after losing to Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the Australian Open on Sunday.
Alcaraz became the youngest player to achieve the career Grand Slam, beating Don Budge's 88-year record, with a 2-6 6-2 6-3 7-5 victory at the Rod Laver Arena.
The 22-year-old was visibly emotional after his triumph, with the world No 1 falling to the floor.
For Djokovic, however, the Serb could only applaud his rival - having pushed him all the way in a fascinating encounter at the ripe age of 38.

Your Say
Given his age, tennis fans won't be able to enjoy the mercurial Serb forever. Speaking afterwards, he indicated he was unsure if he'd be back, suggesting that he hadn't yet decided how long he'll keep going for.
"I always believe in myself, and it’s truly needed and necessary when you’re playing at this level against incredible players like Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz," he said.
"But I must be honest and say I did not think I would be standing at the closing ceremony of a Grand Slam again.
"God knows what happens tomorrow, but it’s been a great ride. I love you all."

Djokovic started the better of the pair, winning the first set.
But Alcaraz bounced back in emphatic fashion, with the 22-year-old showcasing all his qualities as he claimed the first Australian Open title of his career.
Djokovic had nothing but positive things to say about his opponent.
"Congratulations Carlos, an amazing tournament and an amazing couple of weeks. What you've been doing, the best word to describe it is: historic," he said.

"This much love and support this year I have never experienced in Australia. I tried to give you it back with good tennis over the years."
Watching the spectacule unfold in the crowd was Rafael Nadal.
And Djokovic couldn't help but address his former nemesis, joking that it was bizarre to see him in the stands instead of on the court.

"There's too many Spanish legends, it felt like two vs one tonight – it wasn't fair!"
Alcaraz has now banked £2.06million in prize money after his win. Making history, however, will no doubt mean even more to him.
