Emma Raducanu stormed into the quarter-finals of the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club with a commanding 6-4 6-1 victory over Slovakia's Rebecca Sramkova in just 76 minutes.
The triumph at the Andy Murray Arena secured her return to the British No.1 ranking.
The former US Open champion dominated from the outset, racing to a 5-0 lead in the opening set.
She maintained her momentum throughout the match, breaking Sramkova three times in the first set alone.
The victory guarantees Raducanu will overtake Katie Boulter in the rankings, after Boulter fell to fifth seed Diana Shnaider 2-6 6-3 6-2 earlier in the day.
Raducanu expressed satisfaction with her performance despite acknowledging it wasn't her cleanest display.
"I am really pleased to get through that. I don't think it was my cleanest performance but I am really pleased to push through in the tight moments," she said.

The 22-year-old praised the crowd's support during challenging moments.
"I really appreciate the support in that spell when she was coming back."
Boulter, who lost her British No.1 status, remained philosophical about the rankings shift.
"Tennis is a funny one. You know, some people lose 250 points one week, some people lose zero, some people lose 100.
"It's something that happens every single week," she said.

She held two set points at 5-0 40-15 after just 22 minutes, though Sramkova managed to break back twice to narrow the gap to 5-4.
Raducanu eventually secured the first set on her fourth set point after 41 minutes.
The second set followed a similar pattern, with the Brit establishing a 4-0 lead before Sramkova got on the scoreboard.

This grasscourt campaign has seen Raducanu build significant momentum, having defeated Spain's Cristina Bucsa in the opening round whilst dropping only three games.
Watching courtside were her coaches, Mark Petchey and Nick Cavaday, who witnessed another commanding display from their charge on the London grass.
