Emma Raducanu's agent admits he does not agree with her decision to regularly change coaches early in her tennis career.
However, Max Eisenbud admits some of the criticism that has come the 21-year-old's way is 'malicious' and out of line.
Raducanu has suffered with form and fitness since she stunned the tennis world by winning the US Open at the age of 18.
She missed much of 2023 after undergoing surgery on both wrists as well as her ankle, not returning to action until early this January.

Raducanu has earned a reputation for not having a coach for an extended period of time in the first few years of her professional career.
Nigel Sears was the first coach she had between June and July 2021, with Andrew Richardson taking the role for three months between July and September that year.
Richardson was coach at Raducanu's US Open win and he was replaced by Torben Beltz, who lasted five months until April 2022.
Childhood coach Jane O’Donoghue returned to help Raducanu at Wimbledon in 2022 before Dmitry Tursunov took on the reigns between August and October.
Sebastian Sachs was next to be appointed and he lasted six months before they parted ways in June 2023.
Another of Raducanu's childhood coaches, Nick Cavaday, is now in the role having been reunited in January.
Eisenbud doesn't agree with Raducanu's approach but believes it works for her and is backing her for more Grand Slam glory.
Speaking on Andy Roddick's Served podcast, Eisenbud said: "As the agent, do I necessarily agree with it? I don’t. But it seems to work for her.
"And as the agent, we can only try to recommend and say, ‘Hey, this one did it this way.’ But they [the family] seem to be very comfortable in the way they are doing it and I have to respect that.
"Maybe that changes and maybe it doesn’t. But she really is a hard worker. And tennis is her priority.
"Yes, people want to see that she does other things. But the way I see her work and how smart she is, I believe she’ll win more slams."
Raducanu has struggled upon her return to playing, failing to get past the second round in any of the four tournaments she has played.

She crashed out of the Australian Open to China's Wang Yafan and is currently taking a short break after losing at the Qatar Open earlier this month.
The spotlight has been on Raducanu since her record-breaking win in New York two-and-a-half years ago.
But Eisenbud believes critics have been unfair to the Canada-born star and says she is still very inexperienced.
He added: "The girl did everything backward. She skipped every step!

"She won the US Open, she went to the next tournament, she didn’t even know where the player lounge was, she didn’t know where the practice courts were.
"I don’t think just being tough on her or critical on her like any other player [is wrong].
"But she is still figuring it out. I just think that people should not be malicious."
