Carlos Alcaraz has often rented places nearby to his tournaments to minimise travelling times

At just 22 years old, Carlos Alcaraz has amassed a fortune of nearly £30million, enabling the tennis star to enjoy luxury accommodation during his Wimbledon campaign.

The Spanish player has secured a multi-million pound mansion merely five minutes' walk from the All England Club.

The property serves as his base throughout the Championships, having moved in on 14 June alongside seven members of his entourage.

The residence sits in an area where average house prices exceed £800,000, placing Alcaraz's temporary home well into the millions.

This arrangement follows his successful strategy of renting houses exclusively for Indian Wells and Wimbledon tournaments.

The sprawling property features eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, two en suites, a dining room, kitchen and extensive garden, providing ample space for Alcaraz's sporting entourage.

His seven-member team includes his brother Alvaro, coaches Juan Carlos Ferrero and Samuel Lopez, agent Albert Molina, plus a physiotherapist, fitness trainer and doctor.

"I like being in a house because I often don't feel like I'm at a tournament," explained the five-time Grand Slam winner.

"We're a family."

The arrangement allows the world number two to maintain a sense of normality whilst competing at one of tennis's most prestigious tournaments.

The house rental strategy has proven remarkably successful for Alcaraz, who claimed victory at both Indian Wells and Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024.

These remain the only two tournaments on the ATP Tour calendar where he insists on securing rental accommodation.

The current arrangement sees him potentially spending nearly two weeks at SW19 if he progresses through the tournament.

Prior to Wimbledon, he utilised the same London mansion for two and a half weeks whilst competing in the HSBC Championships.

This selective approach to accommodation appears to give Alcaraz a competitive edge at these specific venues.

To ensure peak performance during his title defence, Alcaraz's team has arranged for a chef from upscale London restaurant Santo Mare to prepare dinners at the mansion.

The meticulous preparation extends beyond nutrition, with Alcaraz arriving at Wimbledon brimming with confidence following his grass-court victory at Queen's earlier this season.

This triumph came despite the player taking time for a holiday in Ibiza with friends before the grass-court swing.

The defending champion faces Fabio Fognini on the opening day as he begins his quest for a third consecutive Wimbledon title, having established himself as a formidable force on the SW19 grass.
