Andy Murray won Olympic gold at London 2012 and Rio 2016.
Andy Murray has confirmed his withdrawal from the singles draw at the Paris Olympics, meaning his last-ever match before retirement will come alongside compatriot Dan Evans in the doubles draw.
The 37-year-old was unable to play in the singles draw at Wimbledon earlier this month after recently undergoing surgery to remove a cyst from his spine.
There had been some speculation on whether Murray would choose to prolong his career to play in one more singles tournament.
But he confirmed earlier this week that the Olympics would be his 'last ever tennis tournament'.

And he won't take part in the singles event having announced his withdrawal just hours before the draw was scheduled to take place.
"I've take the decision to withdraw from the singles to concentrate on the doubles with Dan," Murray said in a statement confirming his withdrawal.
"Our practice has been great and we're playing well together.
"Really looking forward to getting started and representing GB one more time."
It means Murray's final singles match as a professional came at Queen's last month, when he had to retire through his match against Jordan Thompson.
Murray and Evans played in the doubles draw at the French Open earlier this year, losing in the first round.
World No 1 Jannik Sinner and Holger Rune were also late withdrawals from the men's singles draw.
Novak Djokovic enters as the top seed along with Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.

“I’m so excited as I arrive at the Games,” Alcaraz said.
“I’m less experienced, but I hope to adapt quickly to doubles. For me it’s a dream to play with Rafa.
