British tennis legend Andy Murray has slammed one of the sport’s most esteemed events as ’s***e’.
The 38-year-old ex-world No1 has spoken out about the glamorous Wimbledon champion’s dinner, explaining a number of problems with the event.
Among them, he admitted he once had to make a pit stop at McDonald’s in his tuxedo en route to the venue due to its distance from the All England Tennis Club.
His mother, Judy Murray, has also told of how her son struggled after a tough match and a marathon of press interviews.
Murray clinched the coveted men’s title on Wimbledon’s Centre Court for the first time in 2013 after beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

His mother revealed that ‘the players’ restaurant was closed so there wasn’t any food available, not just for the winner, but for anyone.
“He was starving,” she revealed.
Murray has been touring the UK sharing frank stories from throughout his career, during which he expressed that he wanted to celebrate his initial Wimbledon victory with his loved ones, according to the Daily Record.

However, he was obliged to go to the customary champion’s dinner at InterContinental Park Lane in London, a 90-minute journey away from the All England Club.
He arrived at 11.30 pm and recounted how he was not able to sit with his parents or his now-wife Kim Sears, saying: “Yeah, it was s***e”

Previously, Andy Murray has admitted he could not recall much of his 2013 win and he felt more “relief” than a sense of accomplishment after winning.
The Scotsman told the 3,000 fans in attendance that he celebrated his 2016, which he won by defeating Milos Raonic in straight sets, in an unconventional fashion.
He revealed to the audience that he made a pitstop at McDonald’s on his way to the dinner, while dressed in a tuxedo.

His mother chuckled as she recounted how the drive-through staff were left gobsmacked when Andy collected his order in his evening wear and said: "They were asking, 'Is that Andy Murray? No, it can't be'."
Andy confessed that he concluded the evening in a nightclub and "had an accident" in the taxi during his journey home. The father of four concludes his tour next Sunday at the New Wimbledon Theatre, on the evening before the tournament kicks off.
Murray has recently had the centre court at Queen’s named after him, being renamed to the Andy Murray Arena.
Jack Draper lost in the semi-finals of the tournament on Saturday, leaving British fans waiting for a home winner, Andy Murray was the last home hero to win the tournament back in 2016.

His brother Jamie opened up on his brother’s dominance of Queen’s, stating: “My biggest memory of Andy here was when he played [Thomas] Johansson."
"He cramped up, fell down, did that sort of swan dive thing. I remember sitting in the crowd behind the court, being genuinely concerned because I’d never seen that happen before,” Jamie recalled.
“I also remember him beating [Milos] Raonic in the final one year. He probably shouldn’t have won that, but he did, he often found a way.”
