Ana Ivanovic has reportedly filed for divorce from former German footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger after nine years of marriage.
The 36-year-old Serbian, who once held the world number one ranking in tennis, filed an application with Munich District Court in November.
Her representative, Christian Schertz, confirmed the separation in July, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.
The 2008 French Open champion has additionally initiated child maintenance proceedings in Palma de Mallorca, the Spanish city where she resides with the couple's three sons: Luka, Leon, and Teo, the youngest of whom arrived in 2023.
The pair first crossed paths in 2014 through mutual acquaintance Andrea Petkovic, the German tennis player, while Schweinsteiger was still at Bayern Munich.
Their romance blossomed quickly, culminating in a lavish wedding ceremony in Venice in July 2016 that attracted worldwide media attention.
Ivanovic, who claimed her sole Grand Slam title at Roland Garros in 2008, stepped away from professional tennis later in 2016.
Schweinsteiger's most significant football achievements include winning the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany.

He also won numerous domestic and international titles with Bayern Munich, most notably the UEFA Champions League in 2013.
Schweinsteiger had departed Bayern for Manchester United in 2015, where he won the FA Cup in 2016 and the EFL Cup in 2017.
The decorated football icon eventually hung up his boots in 2019.
The 40-year-old World Cup winner subsequently carved out a career as a football analyst for German broadcaster ARD.

German media reports have linked the breakdown of the marriage to an alleged relationship between Schweinsteiger and a Bulgarian woman identified only as Silva.
According to Bild, the pair were reportedly spotted kissing in June, with the publication claiming the affair had been ongoing since summer 2024.
The woman is said to have met Schweinsteiger through their children attending the same school, and the two allegedly holidayed together in Morocco before travelling to Mallorca.
German magazine Bunte reported that Ivanovic had initially been prepared to forgive her husband for their family's sake, but ended the relationship after he expressed a desire to "live freely".

The couple made their final joint public appearance at the Laver Cup in Berlin last September, before sharing a photograph from a Christmas market on social media later in the year.
