Queensland Reds 12-52 British and Irish Lions: The tourists have put in another commanding performance

The British and Irish Lions delivered a commanding performance at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, overwhelming the Queensland Reds 52-12 with eight magnificent tries.

This emphatic victory showcased the collective strength of all four home nations on Australian soil.

England's Tommy Freeman led the charge with two tries, whilst teammates from across the British Isles made their mark.

Ireland's Andrew Porter and Garry Ringrose, Scotland's Duhan van der Merwe and Huw Jones, Wales' Jac Morgan, and England's Maro Itoje all crossed the line in a display of Lions unity.

The Lions turned the tide decisively, with Andrew Porter and Duhan van der Merwe helping establish a 21-12 half-time lead. Freeman's double came as part of an unstoppable second-half surge.

Captain Maro Itoje delivered another big performance, scoring the fourth try as he led by example.

Man-of-the-match Jac Morgan grabbed the fifth, before Freeman added his second for the sixth.

Huw Jones showcased Scotland's attacking prowess by breaking away on his own for the seventh try.

Ireland's Garry Ringrose completed the rout with the eighth, ensuring the Lions surpassed fifty points for the second consecutive match.

Finn Russell demonstrated his precision from the tee with four successful conversions.

His replacement Fin Smith maintained the standard, adding two more conversions to bring the total to six from eight attempts.

The comprehensive nature of the victory reflected the Lions' growing cohesion on tour.

Each try scorer contributed to a performance that overwhelmed the Queensland defence and maintained the tourists' winning momentum in Australia.

Despite the commanding victory, concerns emerged over Elliot Daly's fitness after he departed in the second half holding his forearm with what appeared to be a serious arm injury.

The versatile back had been drafted into the starting line-up after Hugo Keenan withdrew before kick-off due to illness.

Daly, who has earned huge plaudits so far, had not been originally scheduled to play in Brisbane. His injury represents a potential setback for the Lions' tour plans.

Nevertheless, the tourists have maintained their impressive form with two dominant victories on Australian soil, building significant momentum for the challenges ahead.
