The veteran player's mother has disclosed that her son committed himself to an intensive fitness programme during the off-season, resulting in significant changes to his physique and athletic performance.
Speaking to People magazine, Donna Kelce revealed that the tight end has achieved his best physical condition in years, noting substantial improvements in both his speed and body composition ahead of the upcoming campaign.

"He's faster now than he's been in the last four years. He's really slimmed down a little bit and it just makes it easier than carrying all that load, like running and stuff like that," Donna Kelce explained.

She emphasised that this season promises to be markedly different for the accomplished tight end, stating: "This is going to be, I think, a different year for him. He really hunkered down and did a lot of training in the off-season."
The tight end himself acknowledged his subpar showing in the championship match, expressing disappointment with his contribution to the team's efforts.
"I don't think it was my best outing. I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past," Kelce admitted.
Despite initially considering retirement after the defeat, the veteran player chose to continue his career, driven by unfinished business and loyalty to his teammates.
"I've got a bad taste in my mouth on how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me," he stated.
The Chiefs will commence their 2025 campaign on 5 September when they face the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil, marking only the second NFL match to be held in the South American nation.
