A recent leak showed that Grand Theft Auto V, at one point, planned on taking players back to Liberty City.
Therefore, it's not unfeasible to imagine Rockstar Games transporting players back in time for when GTA 6 hits consoles in 2025.
Excitement for the game is building, with a recent first trailer breaking the internet.
The clip, which is just one minute and 30 seconds long, has been viewed a staggering 159 million times in just three weeks.

It is now known that GTA 6 will see players return to Vice City, one of the series' most iconic settings.
Based on Miami, it first appeared in 2002's GTA: Vice City.
Players were given the chance to control gangster Tommy Vercetti, voiced by the late, great Ray Liotta, who would end up being the kingpin of the city by the time the credits rolled.
Vice City also returned in 2006's Vice City Stories, with Victor Vance the protagonist of that game.
The modern day version of the fictitious city, however, seems to be levels above anything that's ever been seen before.
But while one city is amazing, two would be a dream.
And GTA fans have been left pained after learning how close they came to returning to Liberty City in GTA 5.
That city, which is based on New York, has appeared in several titles over the years.
GTA 3, GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA IV are just some games that has allowed players to roam the Big Apple.
Liberty City does, in fairness, appear in GTA V in a very minor capacity.
Players who decide to take a trip to the in-game cinema can watch an entertaining film set in the same city from GTA IV.
But a recent leak revealed that GTA 5 actually planned to bring players back in the form of DLC.
Source code for GTA V showed one DLC was appropriately named 'Liberty City'. However, Rockstar didn't end up following through with their initial plans.
Many think this is due to the success of GTA: Online, which has become a juggernaut in it's own right.
However, it's also possible Rockstar was merely saving this blockbuster return for the next instalment of the franchise.

That, certainly, would tally with some longstanding rumours about Rockstar wanting to give fans more than one city to cause chaos in.
YouTuber Broughy1322, speaking recently to GQ Magazine, said he'd heard whispers about Rockstar wanting to include both Liberty City and Los Santos in one giant game.
“From what I understand, that's been a long-term desire from the higher-ups at Rockstar, to have a GTA game with multiple cities, all in one," he said.
“And to be honest, as a player, that is the ultimate GTA game, to be able to do stuff in Vice City, and then jump on a jumbo jet to Liberty City, or Los Santos.”
For now, it's not clear if this will happen.

But the prospect of visiting more than one chaos-filled city certainly sounds appealing.
And if Liberty City was planned for GTA 6, why not GTA 6 instead?
