Conor McGregor has claimed he has been offered $100million and a package of exclusive U.S. residency visas to headline what is being billed as a “spectacle for the ages” — a UFC fight night staged at the White House.

Plans for the unprecedented event, which would take place on the South Lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, were revealed last week.

US President Donald Trump is believed to be the driving force behind the proposal as part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Dana White, the UFC chief executive and a close friend of Trump, was seen entering the White House earlier this month to finalise details.

He later told his 10.7 million Instagram followers: “The White House fight is on. We got it done today.”

McGregor, who has been out of the Octagon since his defeat to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, has been heavily linked with making his long-awaited comeback at the event.

The 37-year-old has now confirmed he has accepted the offer, which reportedly includes 100 of Trump’s so-called “gold card visas.”

These are a form of US residency authorisation typically valued at $1m each.

“$100 million to fight at the White House along with 100 U.S. ‘Golden Visas’ for myself and family and friends,” McGregor wrote on X.

“I look very forward to entertaining the fighting world once again. A pleasure I never take for granted.”

The Irishman has since posted training clips on social media, promising that he will be “throwing harder and with more venom than ever before.”

He also claimed the bout will be bare knuckle, raising the stakes even further.

Early plans suggest the event will take place in June 2026, with capacity capped at fewer than 5,000 spectators on the South Lawn but with an additional viewing area that could hold as many as 85,000 people.

AI-generated concept images shared with Fox News show a UFC Octagon set against the dramatic backdrop of the White House, illuminated with red, white, and blue lighting.

Other visuals show weigh-ins and press conferences staged outside the Lincoln Memorial and a fireworks display bringing the night to a close.

Fans have reacted with astonishment online, describing the event as “bigger than the Super Bowl” and predicting that ticket prices will break records.

“This is going to be a spectacle for the ages,” wrote one user, while another said, “This will literally be bigger than any sports event ever.”

White has promised “the greatest fight card of all time” for the occasion.

“Conor and I have been talking consistently,” he said. “When you reach the level he is at, you need something extraordinary to motivate you — and the White House card has definitely motivated him.”
