Tiger Woods has not played since withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational last month.

Tiger Woods looks all set to line up for the Masters this year after being included on the entry list for the 2024 major.

The 48-year-old headed into this season with new hope and optimism of playing more tournaments on a regular basis.

He originally planned to play one tournament a month, but his withdrawal from the Genesis Invitational raised more concerns about his fitness and health.

Woods was expected to feature in the Players Championship, but he skipped the event to raise more doubts on whether he will be ready to play Augusta.

There's only two tournaments now until the Masters gets underway on April 11 - the Houston Open and then Texas Open.

Woods is unlikely to feature in either of them having previously admitted that he needs time for his body to recover after a tournament.

But he looks all set to feature in the Masters this year after Augusta National listed him among its competitors for the field this week.

Woods is among 85 players already named on the Masters official website that are set to feature in this year's event.

The Masters is traditionally the smallest field of all majors and hasn't exceeded 100 players in a single tournament since 1966.

Woods, as one of several former champions, is extended the luxury of being invited every year.

He could still pull out in the build up to the tournament, but it's a promising sign that he's been included at least.

One former champion who won't be playing Augusta is Angel Cabrera, who was released from prison last year.

The 2009 Masters champion was cleared to play in PGA Tour-sanctioned events in December 2023.

He admitted that his goal was to return to Augusta, but his visa application into the US has been denied.

Cabrera’s agent, Manuel Tagle confirmed the visa situation won't be resolved for another few months, ruling him out of playing the Masters.

“More information has been requested and will be provided to the embassy shortly," Tagle told Golfweek.

"Final decision on the visa will take no less than 8 to 10 weeks. He will not be at The Masters."
