A spectator at the Cadillac Championship discovered just how painful a direct hit from a golf ball can be during Saturday's third round at Trump National Doral.
Nick Taylor's tee shot on the par-4 second hole veered sharply to the right, sailing straight into the gallery.
Slow-motion footage from Golf Channel captured the moment the ball dropped from the sky and struck a fan's arm without bouncing first.
"That might have left a mark," commentator Curt Byrum noted during the broadcast.

He wasn't wrong – cameras zoomed in to reveal a prominent red bump forming just above the spectator's elbow.
Despite the painful impact, the fan appeared to be taking it all in stride.
He flashed a smile at the camera and pointed, clearly enjoying his unexpected moment in the spotlight.
"Damn man, that was a bad one!" he said with a laugh.
It's the sort of toughness you love to see – and now he's got a brilliant story to tell for years to come.

The spectator needed some attention at the scene, but his good humour throughout suggested he'd be just fine.
Whether Taylor made his way over to check on the fan remains unclear.
Taylor went on to salvage par at the second hole and was sitting pretty at 8 under par as of Saturday afternoon, placing him tied for fourth – six shots behind leader Cameron Young.

It turns out this sort of incident is becoming increasingly common on the PGA Tour.
World number one Scottie Scheffler struck a spectator in the head at The American Express back in January, while Jon Rahm did the same at the 2025 PGA Championship.
Travis Kelce has hit fans at least four times in the past two years alone during pro-am events.
Standing close to the fairway clearly comes with its risks.
