Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump, has revealed how their shared passion for golf has created a "special bond" between them.
The young golfer, who is set to join the University of Miami's golf team in 2026, credits her grandfather with shaping both her athletic career and life perspective.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, she explained: "Me and him are very close, and we bond over golf. So, he influenced me a lot with golf, especially when I was talking about schools and colleges."
This week, she announced her first Name, Image and Likeness partnership with Accelerator Active Energy, becoming the brand's first golf NIL partner.

The President's influence on his granddaughter's golf journey began remarkably early.
"I love playing golf... it's something that we share, a special bond together," Kai told Fox & Friends.

She revealed that she started playing both golf and tennis at just two years old.
Her grandfather's mentorship has been instrumental in her development as an athlete.
"He taught me to just keep on working at it," she said of his advice.
"Honestly, I've gotten a lot better in past years with golf, but he really just [taught me] to keep on fighting and keep on practicing and whatnot."
"We have watched a lot of tennis together. We enjoy watching that together, especially like Wimbledon."
Kai acknowledged the privileged resources she had whilst developing her golf skills.
"I was very, very lucky, and I'm obviously very thankful for all the resources I had," she explained.
"Obviously, I used those resources to develop into a great golfer now.

"But I'm very lucky because not many people have those opportunities growing up."
She has played on Trump Golf courses, which include 15 properties worldwide with 11 in America. One memorable sporting experience came at UFC 314 in Miami, where she accompanied her grandfather.
"I don't think I ever heard such a loud arena in my entire life," she said about the crowd's reception.
The Accelerator Active Energy partnership marks a significant milestone for Kai, who becomes an equity partner alongside former college gymnastics champion Livvy Dunne and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

The sugar-free energy drink brand gained recognition for launching "The Livvy Fund" to support women's college athletes.
"It's pretty cool, especially being partners with such great athletes and being up there with them," she said.
"I'm very lucky and grateful for the opportunity I have to meet all these people and collab with them, as well as just meet world leaders."
