Former LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman has survived a terrifying mid-air emergency when the windscreen of his private jet shattered during a flight.
The 70-year-old Australian was travelling from Los Angeles to Palm Beach when the incident occurred.
The aircraft was forced to turn around and return to LAX where emergency services responded to the situation.
Norman, a two-time Major champion, shared details of the frightening ordeal on his Instagram account.

The golfing great was fortunate to escape unharmed from what could have been a catastrophic incident.
"Inflight LAX -PBI loud pop = shattered windscreen," Norman wrote on Instagram. "Only the second time in 40yrs of private travel."
"Returned to LAX to the professionals to make sure all ok. Thanks all."
It remains unclear who was travelling with Norman at the time of the incident.
The emergency occurred just two days after his wife's birthday, according to reports.
Norman's decades of private air travel have evidently included one previous similar incident, though details of that event were not shared.

Norman shared a picture of the cracked window from the aircraft on social media.
He also posted an image of fire trucks that rushed to the scene after the plane touched down safely back in California.

Norman, a controversial figure in golf in recent years, was replaced as CEO of LIV Golf by Scott O'Neil in 2025.
