The wife of professional golfer Brooks Koepka has revealed the heartbreaking loss of their unborn child in a devastating social media post.
Jena Sims, 36, shared the news on Monday revealing that their baby's heartbeat had ceased at the 16-week mark of her pregnancy.
The announcement has left the couple deeply shaken. The model and the five-time major championship winner, who married in 2022, are already parents to a son named Crew, born in July 2023.
In her emotional post, Sims expressed the profound nature of their loss.
"This is a grief no parent is ever prepared for," she wrote, whilst conveying their continued hope to expand their family in the future.

|The couple expressed their profound sorrow whilst maintaining optimism about expanding their family. "We are devastated, but remain hopeful to give Crew a sibling one day," Sims stated in her message.
Her Instagram post featured several poignant images from the pregnancy.
These included an ultrasound scan, a gender reveal cake displaying blue icing to indicate they were expecting a boy, footage of their toddler Crew, and a photograph revealing her early pregnancy bump.

The 36-year-old, who has appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions and acted in the Sharknado film series, chose to make their loss public to help others facing similar circumstances.
Sims extended compassion to others facing similar heartache whilst acknowledging medical professionals who handle such difficult situations.
"Too often, these struggles happen in silence," she noted, highlighting the need for greater understanding and research into women's reproductive health.

She reached out directly to those affected by pregnancy loss or fertility challenges. "If you're experiencing or have experienced pregnancy loss or infertility, please know you are not alone," she wrote.
The model also recognised the emotional toll on healthcare staff, saying: "Lastly, I want to recognise the doctors and nurses who must deliver this kind of heartbreaking news every day. It has to be the hardest part of their job, and I'm holding space in my heart for you too."

The couple's relationship began at the Masters tournament in 2015, where Sims, a Georgia native, first encountered the professional golfer.
Following more than five years together, Koepka proposed on a Florida beach in April 2021, and they wed in Turks and Caicos in June 2022.

Crew required caesarean delivery and spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit, which Sims described as extraordinarily challenging.
Recently, Sims was photographed supporting Koepka at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, where she was seen with young Crew at St Andrews' Old Course.
