England Manager Gareth Southgate will stay on as boss and lead the Three Lions on their Euro 2024 title charge.

He added that he needed some time to “review and reflect" on his performance so far and to “make sure everyone makes the right decisions."
Southgate has now put an end to speculation over his future, confirming to FA bosses that he will stay on for the final two years of his contract, taking charge of the Three Lions at least until the 2024 European Championship.
The news comes as a major boost to the FA, with the chief executive, Mark Bullingham, speaking of his “delight” at Southgate’s decision to continue as England’s manager.
“We are delighted to confirm that Gareth Southgate is continuing as England manager and will lead our Euro 2024 campaign,” he said in a statement.
“Gareth and (assistant) Steve Holland have always had our full support and our planning for the Euros starts now.”
England will kickoff their Euros qualifying campaign with a trip to Italy next year on 23 Marc.

Southgate has won 49 of his 81 games as England manager, with 18 draws and 14 defeats, while England have scored 174 goals and conceded 57.
Only two previous managers have reached a half-century in the win column – World Cup winner Sir Alf Ramsey (69) and England’s longest-serving manager Sir Walter Winterbottom (78).
