Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has been hospitalised and will miss TNT Sports' coverage of Arsenal's crucial Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain tonight.
The 46-year-old pundit shared a concerning image on social media showing himself in a hospital bed with a band around his wrist.
Ferdinand gave a thumbs up in the photo, suggesting he remains in good spirits despite the undisclosed health issue that has sidelined him from the high-profile European fixture.
In his social media post, Ferdinand expressed his disappointment at missing the coverage, writing: "Gutted to be missing the Semi-Finals this week on @footballontnt!!"

The Manchester United legend added: "Wishing the team all the best — I'll be watching every minute from the iPad!"
Ferdinand did not specify the nature of his medical issue in the post shared on X, formerly Twitter.
His message quickly received an outpouring of support from his 11.6 million followers.
TNT Sports responded to Ferdinand's post with: "Get well soon, Rio."
Arsenal face a challenging task in Paris tonight as they attempt to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

As one of TNT's top pundits, Ferdinand is a regular fixture on their broadcasts of major European fixtures.
Ferdinand will also be absent from TNT Sports' coverage of Thursday's Europa League semi-final between his former club Manchester United and Athletic Club.
