The east London team have struggled for form since their historic European triumph

More than 25,000 West Ham United supporters have lost faith in their club's leadership, with the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) delivering a formal vote of no confidence to shareholders David Sullivan, Vanessa Gold, Daniel Kretinsky and Tripp Smith.

The FAB's letter, endorsed by eleven supporter organisations and sent last week before being released publicly on Wednesday, represents what the club itself recognises as its "primary mechanism for formal consultation and engagement" with fans.

This unprecedented move reflects mounting frustration among the fanbase over what they perceive as gross mismanagement of the club at executive level, particularly following their Conference League success just two years ago.

The supporters feel the club's trajectory since their European victory in 2023 has been downward and funds from the £105million sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal have not been used effectively.

The FAB highlight "an ageing and uncompetitive squad" alongside "sustained failure on behalf of the executive management" during this period.

Financial concerns have emerged despite the substantial Rice transfer fee, with the FAB noting claims of monetary difficulties just one year after accounts indicated no Profitability and Sustainability Rules issues were anticipated.

The letter also addresses unfulfilled promises regarding the underwhelming 2016 stadium relocation, stating: "You told us that our move to the London Stadium would take us to the next level. The reality is, our commercial revenues are now dwarfed by our supposed rivals."

Supporter organisation Hammers United has intensified opposition efforts, urging fans to demonstrate before the home fixture with Crystal Palace on 20 September and subsequently boycott the Brentford match on October 20.

The group's statement declared: "After our 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest, Brady and Sullivan will be expecting our fans to walk through the turnstiles as if the last 15 years never happened.

"This is why it's more important than ever for the fans to let them know that we will never forgive, and nor will we forget, all of the damage they have done to our club."

The FAB's demands include comprehensive reform, insisting on "professional full-time executives with both football and commercial expertise, and no further board interference, no more dependence on favoured agents."

"With Brady and Sullivan at the helm our club is going to die. It is in serious decline and dying a slow death as we speak, with thousands of long-term, time-served fans walking away, another relegation fight beckoning, and another early cup exit," Hammers United chairman Paul Colborne bleakly pointed.

The supporters particularly condemn the stadium move's broken promises, with the FAB describing West Ham as an "analogue club in a digital world."
