Nuno Espirito Santo has pledged his future to West Ham United, committing to lead the club's Championship campaign following their Premier League relegation.
The Portuguese manager and club officials held discussions earlier this week regarding his position at the London Stadium.
Despite both parties having the option to part ways without cost after the drop, West Ham confirmed the 51-year-old will remain in charge.
"We held meetings with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo early this week and are pleased to confirm that he has expressed his continued commitment to the club as we have to him," the club stated.

Securing an immediate return to the top flight has been established as the primary objective for next season.
Nuno arrived at the club in September, replacing Graham Potter after the latter suffered defeat in five of his opening six fixtures.
The former Nottingham Forest boss, who was dismissed by the East Midlands club just weeks before joining West Ham, secured 12 victories from his 37 matches in charge.
Under his stewardship, the Hammers accumulated 39 points following their final-day triumph against Leeds United.
Remarkably, this tally represents the highest points total achieved by a relegated side in 15 years.

Nuno's previous experience in English football's second tier provides grounds for optimism among supporters.
During the 2017/18 season, he guided Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Championship title with an exceptional 99-point haul.
"Nuno has spent one previous year in the Championship and it was an outstanding success as he secured 99 points to win the title with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018," the club noted.
The manager himself has made clear his determination to replicate that success in east London.
"Nuno made it very clear that he is highly motivated for the challenge of guiding West Ham United back to the top flight at the first time of asking," the statement added.
Meanwhile, former West Ham captain Declan Rice has expressed his heartbreak at seeing his old club drop out of the Premier League.

The Arsenal midfielder posted on Instagram on Tuesday, revealing his emotional response to the news.
"I'm absolutely gutted to see West Ham relegated. A club that really does mean so much to me," Rice wrote.
The England international, who developed through the Hammers' academy, acknowledged the role the club played in his career.
