Tottenham Hotspur's interim boss has until Monday, March 23, to respond to the charges

Igor Tudor has been charged with misconduct after branding referee Thomas Bramall biased during Tottenham's loss at Fulham.

The Spurs boss has been found by the FA as having "allegedly acted in an improper manner during a post-match interview by making comments that imply bias and/or question integrity and/or are personally offensive in relation to a match official".

The comments came after a 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage on March 1 during the north London side's struggles in the Premier League.

The visitors believed that Harry Wilson’s opener should have been ruled out due to a foul on Radu Dragusin in the build-up.

Following the final whistle, the Croatian told the BBC: "I didn’t like the referee today, too much of a home team referee. I didn’t feel well with him.

"All the decisions were on their side. He doesn’t understand football, the feeling of what is wrong and what is right.”

Tudor has until Monday, March 23, to respond to the charges.

He now risks facing a ban ahead of some crucial fixtures for Spurs as they fight to remain in the Premier League.

Tottenham will host Nottingham Forest on Sunday, who are also at risk of dropping into the Championship.

Spurs sit one point behind the Midlands side and boast a significantly higher goal difference.

They also come off the back of a 1-1 draw at Liverpool, which was followed up by a 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Following the Champions League fixture, Tudor said: "The sensations are mixed. You don’t like to not get through, but it was a very good performance."

He added: "It was a beautiful sensation on the pitch with the fans who were really there together with the squad and the team from the first moment.

"Congratulations to the players.

"It is positive, commitment, lot of running, lots of good things.

"The energy was really nice from the first moment and the fans recognised the team did everything from the first minute to the last and they were with us – beautiful, thanks."

Many expected Spurs to be blown away, especially given how they collapsed spectacularly against the same opponents just a few weeks ago.

But there have been signs of improvement in recent games and they were deserved victors on the night, with Xavi Simons scoring twice and Randal Kolo Muani also on target.

It was a big moment for Tudor, who has struggled to get the best from his players ever since replacing Thomas Frank in the dugout last month.

Now, out of Europe and both domestic cups, the Croatian can focus solely on the Premier League and keeping his position at Spurs until the end of the campaign.
