Ruben Amorim believes Manchester United “need to do better” after his side were beaten 3-1 by Brentford on Saturday.
Pressure mounted on the Red Devils as they were 2-0 down within the opening 20 minutes of the game. Igor Thiago scored the brace that put the Bees in a comfortable position at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Benjamin Sesko pulled one back for the struggling United side, but Brentford shut the door on hopes of a comeback with a Mathias Jensen goal deep into stoppage time at the end of the game.
After the game, Amorim blasted his players for their performance away from home, he said: "Of course we want to win. We didn't control the game. We played the game of Brentford.
"First balls, second balls, set pieces. All the crucial moments were against us. Tough to lose again but we need to think about the next one.

"The first goal was a long ball. We worked on that in the week, and on set pieces. We knew the long balls (were coming) and one touch they had the opportunity. We need to do better.
"We didn't play our game. We only had control for some moments. But it was more or less all the same. We need to play our games, not the opponents, but they were stronger on that.
"It is always the same to lose at this club, it hurts a lot. We need to think about the next one."

United now sit 12th in the Premier League, having only won two of their opening six games this season.
Pressure is growing on Amorim as they come off their worst Premier League season last year.
His troubles have not been helped by the team’s staggering loss to League Two Grimsby in the Carabao Cup; United lost on penalties and exited the cup before most Premier League sides had even entered.

Bruno Fernandes did have the chance to level the game for the Red Devils, but his penalty was saved and ultimately consigned United to back-to-back away losses in the Premier League.
Amorim has remained committed to his 3-4-2-1 system, but it has left his side exposed when facing strong attacking sides.
Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards attacked Amorim for his stubbornness with the system.

He said: “Shambolic, the system is hampering them. They're not sure where they're meant to be.
"In terms of the goals, there were individual errors. Maguire was trying to play offside for the first one - there's no point gambling there.
"For the second, (Matthijs) de Ligt doesn't know where's he's going and Maguire isn't sure where to position himself.
Questions will now be asked about how long Sir Jim Ratcliffe will keep Ruben Amorim around
| PA"It's 100 per cent confusion caused by playing that system. It doesn't suit the players."
United will now go on to face Sunderland at Old Trafford next weekend, but it will remain to be seen if the Red Devils board will keep the struggling manager in place.
