Former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler has disclosed that he underwent surgery to remove skin cancer from his face.
The 50-year-old shared the news with followers on social media, posting images showing his appearance both before and after the procedure.
Fowler confirmed he had been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma but reassured supporters that the condition was detected in its early stages.
He wrote: "Before and After been a few people lately saying the same thing, go and get those blemishes/spots checked, basal cell carcinoma.
The former striker added: "Caught early thankfully so all good just need to get a club now."
