Arsenal icon Ray Parlour can't see his old side snapping up Raheem Sterling from Chelsea on transfer deadline day today.
The winger has been deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by new Blues boss Enzo Maresca, who has admitted he prefers other wingers to the 29-year-old.
Speaking earlier this month, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta raised eyebrows by hailing Sterling.
The Spaniard previously coached the forward during his time as Pep Guardiola's No 2 at Manchester City, with Sterling proceeding to establish himself as one of the best attackers in the Premier League during his glittering spell at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal have narrowly missed out on title glory in each of the past two years.
Some fans would be open to the idea of bringing in Sterling, despite the fact he's currently contracted to one of their fiercest rivals.
Yet Parlour, speaking to GB News via NetBet Online Betting, has now expressed a belief his old side won't be signing Sterling before the transfer window shuts at 11pm tonight.

"I don’t see this happening at all," said the former Gunners midfielder.
"He doesn’t fit the Arsenal mould of player they are looking to bring into the club.
"Raheem has had a very good career, he has won titles with Man City and been a big player for England over the years.

"Arsenal are looking for young players on the way up in their career and Raheem I don’t think fits into that category, but should he leave Chelsea, he can be a valuable signing for another Premier League club.
"His experience can’t be questioned and needs to play games to recapture his form which he has showed in the past."
While Parlour doesn't feel Sterling will join Arsenal, he'd love his old team to bring in a new No 9.

The Gunners have Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz as their striker options amid the imminent departure of Eddie Nketiah.
Arsenal were linked with Ivan Toney earlier this summer, only for transfer talk to dry up.
But Parlour would still like to see the north London giants bring in a new marksman as they look to win the league for the first time since 2004.

"I have said it on record that I would like Arsenal to get another striker who brings a different option to the ones they have," he added.
"Arsenal didn’t score against Villa home or away last season, at home to West Ham and Newcastle away. These games were crucial in the end and to have a striker who brings something different can help score the all important goal to get a point or a win, depending on how the game is going.
"This is the only position of concern as Arsenal’s defence looks brilliant and goals from midfield and the wide players is excellent."
