Tennis fans have piled in on Emma Raducanu after her defeat at the US Open - with many dragging Andy Murray's name into things.
Raducanu had gone into her first round clash with Sofia Kenin hoping to lay down a marker, having previously defied the odds to win the US Open back in 2021.
But the Briton lost in three sets, with Kenin winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 to advance to the next round of the competition.
Prior to her defeat, Raducanu triggered a backlash by saying the US Open didn't feel different without Murray being there.

Murray has retired from tennis, with the former world No 1 walking away from the sport following his defeat in the doubles of the Paris Olympics.
Raducanu also angered fans earlier this summer when she pulled out of the mixed doubles of Wimbledon, denying people one last chance to see Murray in action at Centre Court in the process.
And some fans on X have now stuck the knife into the 21-year-old after her hopes of US Open glory ended in disaster.
"Lol Andy Murray has to be laughing seeing another Raducanu 1r exit," were the words of one user.

A third said: "All that big talk, disrespecting Andy Murray and s**t. Only to get knocked out in the first round. The curious case of Emma Raducanu."
And another opined: "Raducanu was never mighty. Very lucky, yes, but never mighty. How Andy Murray and his mum must be laughing now."
Raducanu was tearful after her defeat at the US Open.
And the Briton admitted to regrets after not playing in 25 days prior to the clash.
"I would have probably preferred to play a little bit more," she said.
"I know when I have a lot of matches, just like every player, you feel really good, you feel like everything's automatic.
"I can learn from it. And, you know, manage my schedule slightly differently.
