The 3pm games in the Premier League provided drama, chaos and upsets, with both Liverpool and draw Tottenham dropped points against sides in the relegation zone.

Sunderland continued their top form by beating Crystal Palace the day after it was confirmed that manager Oliver Glasner and defender Marc Guehi would depart the club.

Chelsea beat London rivals Brentford, and Leeds United edged a one-goal win over Fulham.

Liverpool 1-1 Burnley

Liverpool and Burnley could not be separated as the visitors left Anfield with a deserved point, punishing the champions for a series of missed opportunities.

Arne Slot’s side dominated possession from the outset and were handed the perfect chance to take control when Andy Madley awarded a first-half penalty.

Dominik Szoboszlai, however, struck the bar, setting the tone for an afternoon of frustration.

Florian Wirtz eventually broke the deadlock after a chaotic scramble in the box, rifling into the roof of the net and seemingly restoring order.

But Liverpool failed to capitalise on their dominance, repeatedly squandering chances to extend their lead.

Burnley, resilient and increasingly confident, sensed an opening after the break.

Marcus Edwards, who had earlier wasted a promising opportunity, made no mistake this time, drilling a superb left-footed finish across Alisson to level the match.

Liverpool thought they had regained the lead when Hugo Ekitike turned home from close range, but celebrations were cut short by VAR, the Frenchman was adjudged both offside and guilty of handball.

A late penalty appeal was also waved away, much to the fury of the home crowd.

Tottenham 1-2 West Ham

West Ham delivered a damaging late blow to Tottenham, and possibly to Thomas Frank’s tenure, as Callum Wilson’s stoppage-time winner sealed a dramatic derby victory in north London.

Spurs were already under pressure after a disjointed first half in which West Ham deservedly led through their superiority in wide areas.

Crysencio Summerville repeatedly exposed Tottenham’s fragile defensive structure, while the home side were fortunate to escape further punishment before the interval, boos greeting them at half-time.

Cristian Romero briefly lifted the mood when he powered home a header to equalise midway through the second half, the stadium roaring into life and Spurs suddenly playing with urgency and belief.

Momentum swung decisively, with Tottenham pressing and VAR drama following after a penalty appeal involving Xavi Simons was waved away.

But just as Spurs threatened to complete the turnaround, West Ham struck.

Wilson, introduced from the bench amid speculation over his future, reacted quickest in the box to stab home in the 93rd minute.

Despite Vicario’s protests, VAR upheld the goal, triggering wild celebrations among the travelling support and fury in the stands.

As home fans streamed towards the exits, chants of "you’re getting sacked in the morning” echoed around the stadium.

For West Ham, it was a memorable away win, while for Tottenham, it felt like another step closer to the end of Frank’s tenure.

Chelsea 2-0 Brentford

Chelsea claimed all three points with a 2-0 triumph against Brentford at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, with Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer finding the net.

The result marked Liam Rosenior's first Premier League match in charge, and the new head coach will be delighted with how his tactical changes influenced the outcome.

Pedro opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a superb strike into the roof of the net after Kayode's clearance was blocked by Enzo Fernandez.

VAR overturned an initial offside decision to award the goal.

The head coach's changes from the bench proved to be the turning point in this London derby.

Delap replaced goalscorer Pedro in the 73rd minute and made an immediate impact, capitalising on a poor touch from Brentford goalkeeper Kelleher just moments after entering the pitch.

The Irish stopper brought down Delap as he attempted to recover from his error, leaving the referee with little choice but to point to the spot.

Palmer stepped up and dispatched the penalty low into the corner, sending Kelleher the wrong way.

Brentford threatened throughout the contest and will feel they deserved more from the encounter. Schade was particularly impressive, causing problems for the Chelsea defence all afternoon.

Robert Sanchez produced an outstanding stop to deny Schade in the 51st minute when the German winger was played through on goal by Damsgaard.

Earlier, Jensen struck the post from close range after a well-worked set piece.

Igor Thiago tested Sanchez repeatedly in the closing stages, but the Spanish goalkeeper held firm as Chelsea secured a clean sheet.

Sunderland 2-1 Crystal Palace

Sunderland continued their formidable home form with a stirring comeback victory that deepened Crystal Palace’s alarming winless run.

Palace struck first through Yeremy Pino, the midfielder arriving late to loop a delicate finish into the net following a corner.

It was a moment that threatened to puncture the Stadium of Light’s optimism, but Sunderland’s response was swift and assured.

Enzo Le Fée levelled matters almost immediately, restoring belief and momentum before the interval.

Palace thought they had regained the lead shortly after, only for Jean-Philippe Mateta’s spectacular finish to be ruled out for offside.

The decisive moment arrived midway through the second half.

Brian Brobbey bullied his marker inside the box, flicking an audacious effort off the crossbar and in, the striker injuring himself amid the chaos of the celebrations.

From there, Sunderland held firm, their organisation and intensity too much for a Palace side increasingly devoid of confidence.

Regis Le Bris’ team once again demonstrated why they are so difficult to beat on Wearside.

Leeds United 1-0 Fulham

Elland Road erupted as Lukas Nmecha struck deep into stoppage time to hand Leeds a vital victory and break Fulham’s resistance.

Leeds controlled much of the contest, pushing Fulham deeper and deeper, but clear chances were scarce in a first half that tested the patience of the home crowd.

Fulham, disciplined and well-drilled, soaked up pressure and restricted Leeds to speculative efforts.

The pattern continued after the break, with Leeds ramping up the intensity and Fulham increasingly camped inside their own third.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin went closest, firing into the side netting from a tight angle, as the sense grew that a breakthrough was inevitable.

That moment finally arrived in the 90th minute.

A sustained spell of pressure culminated in Nmecha finding space in the box, his finish sparking wild celebrations as the stadium exploded into life.

Daniel Farke’s side fully deserved the points for their persistence and energy, particularly at home where Elland Road continues to prove a formidable venue.
